The First Meeting
Students quickly filled the large classroom as the first meeting of the semester commenced on Wednesday, September 2nd. Over 300 excited BAP&AS members attended this first meeting in anticipation of all the upcoming socials and recruiting events. This was the biggest crowd the organization has ever seen, and all returning members are so proud of how much we have grown!
The meeting started with a greeting from the president and vice president, Yoshe Yamada and Kevin Macy. Their enthusiasm and encouraging words helped students not only see their own potential for growth, but realize they can reach their personal and professional development goals . The other board members then briefly presented about themselves, their positions, and what they hope to accomplish for the students over the course of the semester.
As the meeting came to a close, students stayed to socialize with each other and catch-up after a long summer. New students introduced themselves and struck up engaging conversations with returning members and other new students. The future looks bright for BAP&AS and we are excited to see how students are able to grow as individuals, as well as a community, during the fall semester.
