Two organizations, ONe goal
Beta Alpha Psi & Accounting Society is actually two organizations that are operated as if they were one. At Cal State Long Beach, students are fortunate to have Beta Alpha Psi & Accounting Society working together. All events are open to both organizations; there are no separate events meant for just one group. All of the resources we have to offer benefit all members.

BAΨ & AS
Beta Alpha Psi (BAΨ) is the honor society for accounting students. Established in 1919, BAΨ has been a place for students who truly excel in their academics. Many accounting professionals you will meet as a student had their roots in BAΨ. Being apart of BAΨ will help you develop not only academically, but also individually.
Our chapter, designated as Gamma Omega, was founded by the late Muhammed Moustafa in 1972. Forty-two years later, our chapter has maintained its Superior Chapter status by exceeding the requirements set forth by the National office. In order to join the organization, students must undergo a semester-long pledging process. |
The accounting society makes up the bulk of our membership. Open to all students, the accounting society is a fantastic place to get started. New to CSULB? Have not yet taken an upper-division accounting course? Considering a career in accounting, but do not know what it is all about? Start here.
Membership in the Accounting Society grants you access to Meet the Firms, our biggest professional event, as well as all the socials and speaking engagements. |
The Process
The Accounting Society is seen as the stepping-stone for those interested in Beta Alpha Psi, but in order to pledge for BAΨ, students must meet the minimum requirements.
